We are so excited that you trust us with your vacation time, and we strive to make your visit enjoyable. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more entertaining, just ask! Below you will find some helpful information regarding your stay. Please ensure your entire party is aware of our rental policies. If you have a specific question, feel free to call us for more detailed information.
PAYMENT: Upon booking your reservation, a 25% deposit is due, and you will receive this confirmation email once your deposit is made. You can make a payment on your reservation anytime via the link above titled “Pay Now” or by calling us at the Marina. We will reach out to you within 30 days of your reservation to ensure your balance is paid and to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your reservation.
LIABILITIES AND INDEMNIFICATION: As a condition of renting a houseboat from East Port Marina ('the Marina'), you ('the Renter') acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- Assumption of Responsibility: The Renter assumes full responsibility for the houseboat, its occupants, and its contents for the duration of the rental period.
- Waiver of Liability: The Marina, its owners, successors, officers, agents, and employees shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, or destruction of personal property, including but not limited to the Renter’s property or that of any occupant or guest on the houseboat or the Marina premises. This waiver extends to any claims arising from: The operation, use, or occupancy of the houseboat; Accidents, injuries, or damages occurring on the Marina premises or on the houseboat; Acts of God, including severe or inclement weather, natural disasters, or unforeseen events; Failure of public utilities, satellite television, or other services outside the Marina's control.
- Indemnification: The Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Marina, its owners, successors, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from: The Renter's use, operation, or occupancy of the houseboat; Any acts or omissions of the Renter, their guests, or any other person on the houseboat during the rental period; Any breach of this agreement by the Renter.
- Assumption of Risks: The Renter acknowledges that boating and water activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to drowning, collision, equipment failure, and weather-related hazards. The Renter voluntarily assumes all such risks for themselves and their guests.
- No Refunds for Unforeseen Events: The Marina shall not be obligated to provide refunds for circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather, equipment failures, or any other events that may impact the Renter’s use of the houseboat.
CANCELLATION POLICY: While we understand that situations arise, our cancellation policy is non-negotiable. Cancellations 90 days out from your reservation time will be charged 25% of your reservation total. Cancellations 30-60 days out of your reservation time will be charged 50% of your reservation total. Cancellations within 30 days of your reservation will forfeit any money you may have already paid, and you will be responsible for any unpaid balance on your reservation due to short notice as we will not be able to fill the reservation during that time. Once the reservation period has commenced, it cannot be terminated early for any reason, including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances, weather, or changes in plans. Guests who choose to return the boat before the reservation period ends will not be entitled to a refund, credit, or adjustment of fees for the unused time. There are no refunds for rainy days. If it is raining, guests may have the option to take the boat out or move the reservation to another day. If there are inclement weather conditions and the Marina staff determines that boating conditions are not safe, the guests may move their reservation to another as available. Boating conditions are reevaluated daily.
PET POLICY: Here at East Port, we love our animals and encourage you to bring them along. All our small boats are pet friendly; however, we do charge a $75 non-refundable pet fee for all small boats. We allow two pets under 45lbs or one pet 75 plus pounds. Pet fees will be collected at check-in, and you are expected to notify us at check-in that you have a pet. Pets are not allowed on furniture. If there is damage to the boat from your pet, you will be asked to pay for said damages.
CHECK-IN for SMALL BOATS is at 7am during the Summer, and 8am Central Time during the Spring and Fall. There are no price adjustments for late arrivals. The guest is responsible for paying for all gas used during the rental time. There will be an orientation required prior to departing from the dock. This orientation takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Drivers of the boat must be present for the orientation. Tubes and skis can be rented for $10 per day at check-in. All our boats come with standard life jackets, but if you need any additional life jackets for skiing, tubing or small children (under the age of 12), please let us know. It is required by law that they wear a life jacket on any moving boat.
CHECK-OUT for SMALL BOATS is at 5:30pm (May 31st- Sept. 1st) and at 4:30pm (March 20th-May 30th and Sept, 2nd- Nov. 25th) for one day rentals. Returning the boat after the designated time will result in a $25 fee for every 15 minutes you are late past check-out. If you have the boat for multiple days, you will need to have the boat docked before sunset. It is unsafe to be boating after dark. The guest is responsible for paying for all gas used during the rental period. Once your boat is docked and your party is offloaded, a staff member will do a walk through with the person responsible for the reservation to evaluate cleanliness and any possible damages the boat may have acquired. If the need for excessive cleaning due to trash or mud is visible there will be a charge of $50.
FISHING LICENSE: Fishing license can be purchased at the marina, but to help expedite your check-in, we suggest that you obtain them online prior to your visit at www.tn.gov/twra, or the app TWRA On The Go. Social security numbers are required to obtain ALL fishing licenses. Children 12 and under do not require a license. Ages 13-15 qualify for a junior license, and ages 16 and over will require an adult license. A license CANNOT be obtained without all the proper information. Nonresident fishing license options are 3-day, 10-day, or an annual license. The marina sells live bait, and availability varies based on the season. Please call for specific bait options during your stay.
